                        William is a deer hunter and requested a vanilla cake with vanilla icing.
                         Scott the party animal requested a yellow cake with chocolate icing.
                         All decorations are made of my homemade fondant.  The chocolate 
                         cake has malted milk balls around the cake with a few pieces of blue
                         hard candy.
                         The deer hunter cake has antlers made from fondant and cloth leaves
                         for some cover.  The shield is made of vanilla cake.

I simply cannot imagine where all these years have gone.
Our little princess is turning 5.  I guess she is my main
inspiration for baking all these cakes over the years.  My
first big cake was for her.  I can't wait to post all the things
I am creating for her this year.  Hello Kitty is what its all about!
I am making cupcakes for birthday in the park, cake pops for
her classroom birthday celebration and this year she is having
a sleepover with two of her favorite friends so I am going to
make little individual cakes for each of them.
Her real birthday this year falls on Thanksgiving Day.
So I will make her big cake for that special day.
She is going to be so surprised to see what I have created

for her.  Lots to post soon so I need to get busy baking.

Getting Excited About The Holidays

I am getting very excited about all the holidays coming up.
That means lots of baking and the ideas are just flooding my brain.
I can't stop thinking of all the fun things I can do with cake.

Lets Bake Up Some Birthday Fun

Today two very special young ladies are celebrating their birthdays together.
They are turning 4 & 5.
The best part is they are sisters. 
This is my first birthday cake for these sweet little girls and I hope I get the
chance to do many more.

For their birthday party they are baking and decorating cookies.  Their mom
has made their guest chef hats and aprons so they can get the true feeling of being a baker.
How fun is that?
Emmie and Ellie are having special little strawberry cakes made special just for them.
Their guest are having a vanilla cake covered with a vanilla buttercream and pink fondant.
A teal color ribbon decorates the bottom of the cake along with pretty fondant flowers.
All sorts of cute little baking items including yummy chocolate chip cookies on a napkin
with the recipe rest on top.
We also have an apron and matching chef hat along with oven mitts.
A cute little measuring cup and wooden spoon spilling sugar and chocolate chips help to
make it complete.  All of these items are made from fondant.

What a fun party this will be.  Maybe I can get them to help me bake one day.
